Have you ever actually looked at how Google pagerank is calculated? Me neither! I knew it had to do with how many people actually link to you one their page, but its a little deeper.

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."

I have been getting alot of invitations to join with the Technorati Link Exchange started by Dosh Dosh (although I did exchange links with them) I don't think that it is really beneficial for the following reasons:
1) I don't want to run the risk of being considered a Spam Blog
2) There isn't much benefit unless you are being linked to or by Sites that are relevant to you.

3) the site and pages within your site must be quality content that people will actually want to link up to. This is one of the basic points of PageRank: Google can tell which pages and sites are authorities as they have a large number of high quality links pointing them. If your site is full of spam, or otherwise undesired content, it may be difficult to get the quality links, whether internal or external, that you need for a high PR.
I can somewhat understand the enthusiastic response, who would not be happy with hundreds of new inbound links, a major improvement in their Technorati rank? But if you think that will make you an "A-lister," think again...and again.

I have spent this last week researching and researching. I have signed up for a few different offers and they are all posted here. I haven't started to make any money yet and won't until this Site starts to get some traffic and a decent Page Rank. That's ok, it will come.
I cannot believe the million links I have clicked on through searches on Google. What a lot of BS there is out there!
The reality is there is no "easy" way to make money online although it can be done. Time and Patience are the keys here.
Check out some of the Posts and join some of the Sites I have posted here for you, who knows you may increase your income.
I have made around $60 dollars from Pay Per Post and this was done in only six posts. I have to write four more posts and wait until this Blog is 90 days old before I can start writing the Reviews on here. Have you joined Pay Per Post yet? It is worth the effort, just make sure when you join that you submit all your Blogs so you can write your Reviews where you want to. The opportunities aren't so great for those with a Page Rank of less than 7 so Page Rank is a huge deal.
If you read some posts here I have posted a lot of information about SEO and Blog Promotion. I hope some of that will help you.
That's about it for now. I will keep researching and when I find some thing I think has a decent earning potential you will find it posted here.

I have spent most of this week looking for ways to promote my site (for free of course!) I have blogrolled those links for your convenience. Then I submitted it to a few Blog Directories and other Site Submission Services. This apparently can take days to actually take effect. The best Site I have found is: http://www.sitesubmit.ca/index.php (Click on "Testing Wizard")This Site will check everything on your Site for you to make it "Search Engine Friendly" It is free also. I submitted all three of my sites, but the only one that actually passed is http://carolsplaceforpeace.blogspot.com I am certain this is because of the newness of this site and the lack of links to it as of yet. I will try it again in about a month. I reccommend that you use this sevice to check your own site and if you are lucky enough to get a certificate, you can check mine out at http://carolsplaceforpeace.blogspot.com to see what it looks like, I would suggest you proudly display that on your site as I did on mine. It seems like it is kind of hard to get one! Let me know how this worked out for you. Also I would do a Google Page Rank Check here: http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php and show that on your Site as well, even if the Page Rank is zero. Now, go use this tool and come back and let me know how Your Site Ranked! A link back to me would be cool too - LOL!
